Life imitating art
Flipping through an old Town & Country (summer 2021) for mood board images, I found a painting by Dame Laura Knight that piqued my curiosity. The woman in the painting felt familiar, and I thought to myself, “I know that woman.” Then, I remembered. I made a self-portrait near the end of the Road to Hanna like what you see in Knight’s painting in the spring of 2022. I can’t say for sure, but I probably noted this painting when I flipped through the magazine at that time. Oscar Wilde said, "Life imitates art far more than art imitates life". I leave you with my version of life imitating art.
